The reasons why I choose the website with digital fitting room as my topic of final project can be listed as below:
(1) Interest
From my point of view, anybody who is working at the things they are interested in will be more effective and happy. As regards myself, I choose the shopping online website as my topic of final project just because of my interests. From one hand, shopping is one of my favorite thing in daily life. Most girls are born like pursuing beauty so girls will not satisfied with their wardrobe and jewelry box. From another hand, during the first half year of study as master, I find internet authoring interesting and I really like to work on it. Combining these two points, I decide to research this area.
(2) Market potential
With the development of Internet, increasing number of people tried to buy products online. The unique advantages of online shopping website make it possess large market potential [2].
l For customers.
Firstly, there is no limit of time and space. In real life, people always have to walk all day long to find the thing needed and sometimes get nothing at last. It is time-consuming and makes customers tired. Especially nowadays, office staffs are busy in day time, so online shop make the shopping time flexible to them. People can do shopping without regard to weather and time[3]. Secondly, rich supply of products. If you want to get special information or product, you can just type in the keywords, all the relevant commodities will be listed for you. In this way, you can shorten the time and also break the geographical boundaries. It is widely known that there are many different supplies of product in different areas. Once you choose to buy things online, you can resolve this problem effortlessly. Thirdly, it is not safe to bring a large mount of cash when shopping, especially during holidays and festivals. By comparison, it is safer when you do the business online thereby avoiding to be stolen or get lost. Lastly, the commodity prices are relatively lower in online shops. Because shopkeeper can run business without house rent, shop assistant’s salary and so on [2].
l For shopkeepers
The reasons why so many people get engaged in the online business can be outlined as followed:
There is no pressure of stock. To some extent, this will decline the risk of business.
Low cost decides the low price, which make the shop more competitive.
All the benefits to both consumers and shopkeepers make online shopping website attractive. This makes my website possess large market potential. If my website targets customers in right way and take effective operation strategy, it will keep its charm and be profitable [2].
(3) Distinctive feature
The most serious problem existed in nowadays online business is fitting and my website is characterized by digital fitting room. This service increases the credibility of online shop. I believe this service will attract more customers and make my website distinguishing. Except the digital fitting room, shopkeepers of my website can upload video which is used to introduce or show their products. In this way, people can get the impression of the real commodities. Even though client cannot touch or try on the items, they can grasp all the information they want.
